According to the spokesman, it was illegal to strike police officers in response to disagreement.
Adejobi urged anybody who were offended to use the correct procedures to report any type of misbehavior to the authorized authorities.
His comments were in response to a viral video showing two people assaulting a police officer and attempting to take away his AK-47 gun. They were both detained.

Adejobi claimed that several media outlets purposefully misrepresented his prior response to the situation by depicting him as supporting cop violence.
The FPRO pointed out that there are procedures for reporting illegal behavior by public officials so that swift justice can be served.
According to Adejobi, the people seen in the video resorted to self-defense by attempting to take the officer’s gun, endangering everyone in the process.

Accordingly, he continued, “Whatever the provocation, the deed of the persons was wrong. It is right that two wrongs cannot create a right.”
The creator of the image stated that complaints about unpleasant interactions could be reported via social media accounts, police public relations officers from various commands, and the police complaint response unit.
