Bello Turji, the notorious leader of the Zamfara bandits, responded to the military’s recent aircraft bombardment of his home by stating he felt deceived by the government of Nigeria.
Recall that the Nigerian Air Force conducted an airstrike at the Fakai area of Shinkafi after receiving reliable intelligence, which led to the neutralization of some armed bandits from Turji’s camp.

According to information obtained by PRNigeria, Turji allegedly accused the government of violating a peace agreement they had with him to end banditry.
In an audio chat with government officials and local leaders, which PRNigeria was able to secure, Turji expressed his annoyance.
Since he and the government negotiated a truce five months ago, there haven’t been any attacks, he claimed, but now that the military has assaulted his home, he feels betrayed, especially after the deaths of innocent people during the bombings.

“Peace is priceless, and I’m willing to promote it unless the government wants me to be an aggressive warlord.
“I am prepared for both peace and conflict. We are capable of providing the authorities with anything they require, Mr. Turji remarked in the clip.
