Dani Alves, a hero for Barcelona, has admitted that he got into a fight in the Ballon d’Or locker room with Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United when they were playing against each other in Spanish La Liga.

According to Managing Madrid, Alves made the remarks on a podcast with his Pumas teammate Efrio Velarde.

Alves (Barcelona) and Ronaldo (Real Madrid), who represented the two biggest teams in Spain, were frequently pitted against one another in El Clasico matches.

The Brazilian defender, though, has admitted that he adores Ronaldo and feels free to say as much now that they no longer represent Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

Alves confessed, “I adore Cristiano.” I can speak now that we aren’t at Barca and Madrid because it always seemed like I couldn’t.

For all of us who don’t have so much talent, Cristiano serves as an example of how you can compete with the greatest by working hard. I had the chance to let him know how much I admire him.

Alves continued, “Due to the rivalry, there was a time when I went up to him to meet him and he didn’t greet me.

In the Ballon d’Or dressing room, we got into a “scuffle,” I greeted everyone, and he chose not to do so because of the commotion Barca-Madrid was causing outside.
