Jesse Lingard, a former player for Manchester United, claims that the team’s facilities and training ground are “miles behind” those of major rivals Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Additionally, Lingard supported Cristiano Ronaldo’s criticism of the Manchester United team.

Remember that Ronaldo criticized Manchester United in an explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan last year, saying there had been “zero growth” since he left Old Trafford for the first time in 2009.
Regarding a CEO podcast, Lingard said, “You know what it is, I think they are so behind with everything.”
“When we travel there with England and train at Tottenham, you see [Man] City’s facilities and you see Tottenham’s facilities like people are miles ahead.”

When specifically questioned on Ronaldo’s assertions, Lingard responded, “Yeah, and he left [the first time in 2009] years ago. Given that [Manchester United] is one of the largest clubs in the world, you naturally want the best. For the best, you want just the best.
Naturally, you want the greatest food, and you want the sauna, swimming pool, and jacuzzi—all of which are still available—but it should be a little more up to date. Modernize because, upon viewing City’s facilities, you feel compelled to urge them to “get up to date, catch up a little bit!” because they are currently far behind.
“Back in the day, we had table tennis, pool, a dart board, and stuff like that to keep you mentally merry. But no more,” he declared.
