Two days are set out for a public holiday in Ebonyi to collect PVC

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi proclaimed a two-day public holiday on Thursday and Friday before the February elections so that all civil and public personnel, including schools, may obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the state.

The governor made this claim in a statement released in Abakaliki by the state’s information commissioner, Mr. Uchenna Orji.

He claimed that the action was taken in consideration of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, deadline set for eligible voters to obtain their PVCs.

This is to make it easier for the good people of Ebonyi who have yet to pick up their PVCs to go to their respective Local Government PVC Collection Centers and do so, keeping in mind that Sunday, January 29, is the final day for collection.
