Jackson will get a medical on Sunday at Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson, a forward for Villarreal, is now in London and will undergo his Chelsea physical on Sunday, according to a Saturday report from Sky Sports.

Jackson’s deal to Chelsea from Villarreal is close to being finalized in this summer’s transfer window.

For Jackson to join, Villarreal demanded that the €35 million release clause be fully paid.

Chelsea will, however, pay a little bit more than the clause in exchange for more benevolent payment conditions.

According to the source, Chelsea and Jackson have reached an agreement in principle on the specific conditions of a long-term contract.

The 22-year-old attacker was reportedly singled out by new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino as a potential remedy for the team’s striker problems.
