Sen. Diktet Plang (APC-Plateau), the chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor, had earlier stated that the senate leadership had engaged with various groups over the planned strike through its committee and other stakeholders.
“I believe that colleagues should understand the circumstances. The strike was put on hold for an additional 30 days after the NLC and TUC and the government signed a memorandum of understanding and reached consensus on 15 issues.
