Nigerians are warned by NYSC about a bogus trust fund advertisement

The National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, has disproved a social media advertisement that read, “NYSC Trust Fund, NYSCTF, 2023: boost your business dream…”

The corps warned the public to ignore the advertisement and insisted it was a hoax.

The management claimed that the piece was not created by the NYSC and added that it was the work of con artists determined to rob unwary Nigerians, mainly serving and ex-Corps members, of their money.

It stated that President Bola Tinubu’s approval of the NYSC Trust Fund was still pending.

As a result, it noted, the link to register for the fund and the NYSC Portal are just a deception.

“Modalities to access the Trust Fund shall be officially made known to Nigerians through the print and electronic media as well as NYSC official handles in the social media, among others,” the organization promised. “When the Trust Fund is passed into Law, Nigerians shall have access to the fund.”

Eddy Megwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the NYSC, issued a statement saying, “Please, do not fall victim to fraudsters.”
