Charles Inojie, a prominent figure in Nollywood, both as an actor and as a director, has stated that there is “an army of Jezebel daughters” in the Nigerian film business.

According to him, their goal is to seduce movie directors and producers into giving them jobs in exchange for sex. He added this is their plan.

In the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu, the renowned director shared some of his thoughts.

According to him, the problem of sex-for-role in Nollywood is not only perpetuated by filmmakers but also by some actresses who fling themselves at them to acquire movie roles. He said this is a problem in both the male and female industries.

“There are some actresses who are willing to do anything just to be in front of the camera,” stated Inojie. When you come across a character that is not adequately formed as the director or the producer, he will fail. Therefore, there are actresses who are similar to that. There are multiple perspectives on the sex-for-role debate. It is not one-sided in any sense.

“There is also a legion of Jezebel daughters searching for film directors and producers to bring down… Therefore, another problem is the level of hopelessness exhibited by some of these young women.

“Because of this, they are quick to fall into the booby traps set by a lot of producers and directors with characters that are not properly formed; individuals who came from very troubled backgrounds,
