Because of his recent comments directed toward Christians in Nigeria, the wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide that is led by Engr. Chidi Ibeh has issued a plea for Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, a well-known Islamic scholar, to be apprehended and brought to justice.

According to a quotation attributed to Gumi, he warned that putting Nigeria’s national security in the hands of Christians and people from the south was fraught with peril.

He made this comment while slamming the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for receiving the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria in his office and proposing to engage with Israel on security issues in Abuja. Wike was the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to Gumi, the minister has the intention of turning Abuja into an extension of Tel Aviv.

Bearded Muslims in Abuja, he added, would be branded as followers of Osama bin Ladin and put to death.

Ohanaeze condemned the outburst as a hazardous proclamation of religious war against Christians in a statement that was released on Saturday and was authored by the organization’s Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.

According to what he said, “We categorically denounce this divisive rhetoric, as it undermines the principles of religious freedom and inclusivity that our great nation stands for.”

Every person of Nigeria, regardless of their religious affiliation, deserves equal rights and opportunities because Nigeria is a heterogeneous nation.

Isiguzoro praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Wike, a Christian who previously served as the governor of Rivers State, to the position of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

“Their collaboration represents the unity and progress that Nigeria needs to overcome its challenges and build a prosperous future for all of her citizens,” he asserted. “Their collaboration represents the progress that Nigeria needs to build a prosperous future for all of her citizens.”

Isiguzoro maintained that the priest must be detained and brought to face treasonable charges as a result of his comments since it constitutes a significant risk to both the nation’s security and its social cohesion. This was done when he was reiterating the need for the competent authorities to take urgent action against Gumi.
