Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has named Dr. Barivure Fred Kpakol as his Senior Special Assistant on Environment and Waste Management.
According to a statement signed by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press, Kpakol’s considerable experience and qualifications make him a great addition to the FCT Administration’s committed team.
The new appointee was born on May 26, 1961, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, and has an impressive academic record.
The Rivers-born appointee holds a doctorate degree in Banking and Finance from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, a master’s degree in business administration from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, according to the FCTA statement.
He has served as the Rivers State Commissioner for Agriculture, the Rivers State Commissioner for Finance, the Vice Chairman of the PDP in the Rivers South East Senatorial Zone, the Executive Chairman of Gokana Local Government, and the State Secretary of the Rivers State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON.
