Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebira territory in Kogi State, has joined his forefathers.

A brief illness ended his life early Sunday morning.

The prominent monarch, who died at 95, will be buried Islamically, according to furucinovel.

The late Prince Abubakar Audu, then-Governor of Kogi State, crowned Ado Ibrahim Ohinoyi of Ebira land in 1997.

He succeeded Alhaji Sanni Omolorim, who ruled from 1957 until 1997.

Born on February 7, 1929, late Ado Ibrahim attended western nursery and Quranic schools before finishing basic school in 1940 at the Native Authority (NA) primary school in Okene, Northern Region (now Kogi State).

After Ondo Boys High School, he attended Oduduwa College and graduated in 1949.

His bachelor’s degree in economics from London School of Economics was in 1954, and his master’s from Harvard Business School was in 1959.
