According to him, while on a fighting patrol in the Maganda-Dausayi-Mugaba axis, the soldiers were ambushed by rebels who used rustled herds of cattle as shields.

Two rebels were neutralized and one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, and three rounds of 7.62mm Special were seized during the subsequent hour-long conflict.
