On the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that he will deliver a State of the Nation address to the people of Nigeria.

A spokesperson for the president, Bayo Onanuga, made the announcement on Monday.

He claims that Tuesday at 7 a.m. is the confirmed address.

As part of the celebrations for this year’s Independence Day, he said, the broadcast will be shown.

The broadcast is a part of celebrations marking the nation’s 64th anniversary of independence.

A statement from the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria states that all electronic media outlets, including television and radio stations, are required to connect to their network services in order to broadcast.

This marks Tinubu’s second Independence Day celebration after being elected in February 2023, according to furucinovel.

The government of Nigeria has already stated that there will be little festivities in observance of Independence Day this year.

The news arrives as Nigerians face economic hardship due to high inflation (32.15 percent) and soaring energy prices.
