Graham Potter, who was manager of Chelsea before Erik ten Hag’s departure, has denied ever having discussed a possible replacement with Manchester United.

After losing his job at Stamford Bridge seventeen months ago, Potter has been without employment ever since.

Just seven months after being hired, the 49-year-old was fired.

A number of prominent jobs, notably those at United and England, have been associated with Potter.

Supposedly, he even held talks with United, who chose to stick with Ten Hag despite the pressure.

I believe a lot of what I’ve read in the media so far is incorrect and false,” Potter said in response to a question about it on Monday Night Football.

Supposedly, I’m the only football coach in the world who has been associated with both Stoke City and Napoli in the equal span of time!

So, I don’t believe everything you read in the news. For the sake of everyone’s dignity, I’ve decided to keep quiet about the many talks I’ve had with various people.
