The plans to build historic places to be titled Renewed Hope Creative Villages have been revealed by the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, according to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The effort, according to the governor, is part of the Tinubu administration’s plan to establish cultural and touristic centers.
The goal, according to Sanwo-Olu, who was speaking to reporters, is for the ministry to work with sub-national governments to find these historical sites and include them into the creative villages so that people can get everything they need in one place.
The vast potential in the creative sector, and in particular in capitalizing on our rural historic monuments and locations, has been brought up in our discussions.
In their presentation, the ministry hopes to highlight this goal and inspire sub-nationals to choose places that could develop into vibrant cultural centers.
“This industry could generate hundreds of thousands of new employment opportunities, and we are cognizant of that fact.”
Wale Edun, minister of finance and economy coordination, recently revealed that the states owe the federal government a total of N16.6 billion.
Additionally, he gave a summary of the country’s financial situation as of December 10. According to him, the balances for the Excess Crude Account, Stabilization Account, and Natural Resources Account were $424 million, $33.3 billion, and N23 billion, respectively.
Additionally, Edun stated, “the states’ deficit stands at approximately N16.6 billion, while their surplus positions with the Federal Government currently amount to N363.4 billion.”
