Out of 714 individuals detained for alleged criminal acts between January 2024 and the present, 292 have been brought to justice by the Adamawa State Police Command.

Over the course of the year, the individuals in question were apprehended on charges ranging from culpable homicide to armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, and more.

“The Command successfully got convictions in 292 cases in court processes within the year in view,” stated CP Dankombo Morris, the state commissioner of police.

The CP stated at a year-end press conference on Thursday that the prosecutions his Command made were the product of concerted efforts to battle crime in the state.

Among the tactics he listed were visible policing, rapid reaction to distress calls, raids on criminal hotspots and areas, intensive operational patrols, and community policing.

Both the plans and the outcomes, in his view, are manifestations of his promise.

For the record, I want to remind the people of this state that I, as the 32nd Commissioner of Police, took an oath to reduce crime and criminal activity to its barest minimum when I took office on February 14, 2024.

So, this news conference is really important because we want to show the public and the media all the things we accomplished while I was in charge. You can then judge whether we have met or exceeded your expectations.
