A Nigerian government investigative panel has been inaugurated into Bobrisky’s alleged N15 million bribery

An independent investigation panel has been constituted by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to probe allegations of bribery involving correctional service employees and popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

In his Monday inauguration speech, Tunji-Ojo stated that the panel was essential for the sanitation of the Nigeria Correctional Services (NCoS) staff.

Bobrisky allegedly claimed in an audio recording that went viral last week that his godfather was involved in a plot to have him spared serving his six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison in Lagos.

The minister stated that the panel, which is presided over by Dr. Magdalena Ajani, the Permanent Secretary, would guarantee openness and responsibility within the government agency.
