This season, the Promise Keepers have yet to win in the NPFL.

On the first day of play, Ayeni’s team fell to newcomers Bendel Insurance 2-0, then in the middle of the week, they held eight-time winners Enyimba to a 0-0 tie.

Despite having numerous chances to score goals in the two games, the Uyo team came up empty-handed.

But the coach is confident that this time at the New Jos Stadium, things would go better for his club.

“It’s incredible that after two games, we haven’t scored. Ayeni told the official Akwa United website, “We have done a lot of scoring drills and our team is such that any player may score at any time.

“I’m hopeful that we will take advantage of our opportunities on Sunday and we will celebrate our goals.”
