Akpeyi is expected to sign with Moroka Swallows in South Africa

Daniel Akpeyi, the goalie for the Super Eagles, is almost ready to sign with Moroka Swallows FC of the South African Premier League.

After having a transfer to Sekhuhune United, another South African team, fall through, Akpeyi is now working out with the team.

The 36-year-old is someone the Beautiful Birds are interested in signing, according to club chairman David Mogashoa.

Yes, Akpeyi is a highly skilled goalie. If he likes working out with the Swallows, we’ll make it a regular occurrence, Mogashoa told Goal South Africa.

Following the end of his contract, Kaizer Chiefs released the shot stopper in July.

He once competed in the South African Premier League for Chippa United.
