All permanent secretaries and HoS are suspended by Gov. Otti

The immediate suspension of all permanent secretaries in different Ministries, Agencies, and Departments, or MDAs, has been ordered by Abia State Governor Alex Otti.

This was revealed on Thursday by Katie Oko, the governor’s chief press secretary.

The announcement made notice of the suspension of the Head of Service as well.

The launch of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Properties and Funds Belonging to the Abia State Government, according to Oko, is the backdrop against which the development is taking place.

Because of this, the Governor has given his or her approval for Lady Joy Maduka, Director of the Ministry of Education, to be named Acting Head of Service (HOS).

Part of the statement states, “By this notice, the Clerk of the House and the Solicitor General are directed to hand over to the most senior Director in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.”
