Care for service members will remain a top priority for the military – CDS

Gen. Christopher Musa, CDS, has informed the military leadership that the well-being of personnel, particularly those serving on the front lines, will remain a key priority.

At a news conference to reveal the “Tribute to Our Troops” in honor of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day and Celebration in 2025, Musa made the announcement on Wednesday.

According to him, the nation’s and the military’s leaders value the sacrifices made by the warriors to ensure the safety of the country.

In a statement, Anthony Epe, Director of Civil-Military Relations at Defence Headquarters, on behalf of the CDS, said that the event demonstrated the military’s dedication to promoting unity, demonstrating resilience, and honoring the bravery of those who had risked their lives to protect the nation.

He sees the third annual “Tribute to our Troops” as more than simply a concert; it’s a movement that will use music, culture, and charity to pay tribute to the bravery and selflessness of Nigeria’s military personnel.

Moreover, he said, the gathering will provide a rare opportunity for the military and civilian populations to meet, highlighting the significance of knowing one another and working together for the benefit of our magnificent country.
