Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, has provided an explanation for his team’s 1-0 loss to Lazio in their first-leg UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match on Wednesday.
After missing their opportunities to take the lead against Lazio in the first half, Tuchel claimed Bayern did everything in their power to lose the game.

After the game, Tuchel spoke with the media and said:
We had to establish the lead in the first half. We had three good opportunities. These are things that we must do. Uncertainty once more characterized [the second half]. It was somewhat comical. We exerted every effort to lose this game. We held it in our hands.
We stopped believing at some point, and I’m not sure why. Numerous individual errors were present.
