David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has ostensibly responded to Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, who claimed that Davido refused to attend an event in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid more than $94,600 (about N72 million) for it.

As previously reported by furucinovel, Pinnick recently criticized Davido for declining to play at this year’s Warri Again festival despite supposedly receiving money in the amount of $94,600 and the organizers having reserved a private jet for him at a cost of $18,000.

Despite not being a bigger musician than Burna Boy, who is part Itsekiri (Warri), he promised to teach the singer a lesson and said that he was growing too proud.

Davido posted on his X account, “Throwing stones but u dey live for glass house,” in what appears to be a jab at the former leader of the Glass House, the NFF headquarters.

Davido promised his fans in Warri that he will visit their city soon in another post, boasting that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria.

Nobody can prevent me from giving a performance anywhere in Nigeria… I’ll see you soon, Warri,” he wrote.

Additionally, he shared a photo of the NFF logo with the remark, “Make I no talk.”
