Davido did not attend our celebration despite receiving N72 million claims former NFF president Pinnick

Amaju Pinnick, a former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, has criticized artist Davido for allegedly refusing to attend the 19th iteration of the Warri Again carnival despite receiving more than $94,600 (about 72 million naira) in payment.

According to the sports official, the organizers also paid $18,000 for a private plane to fly the musician to Warri, Delta State, for the event.

Speaking to the audience at the occasion, he revealed this.

Pinnick said, “We paid Davido $94,600 on April 6th,” through Pidgin. His plane cost $18,000 from us. If I suggest he should be a big guy, we will go tell him we are.

“I’m serious. Due to the back-and-forth games he was playing, we chose to look for Shallipopi, another artist.

“You see, I just dey chuckle when people say dem big. Burna Boy, not another musician, is the biggest in Nigeria right now. Burna Boy has Itsekiri ancestry. Itsekiri is the maternal grandmother of Burna Boy. He huge pass am, then.

“Is anyone a major pass RMD for the acting business? Anybody funny large enough to pass Ali Baba? We receive them in Warri back to back. Nobody could fit through Warri.
