Yusuf Bichi, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, or DSS, has pledged to destroy the terrorists’ money network.
According to Bichi, breaking up the banking network would necessitate a thorough and well-coordinated reaction.

A five-day training hosted by GIABA, the Inter Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa, began with him giving a speech.
Speaking on behalf of A.S. Adeleke, Bichi claimed that terrorist organizations need money in order to enlist, equip, and train its foot soldiers.
He stated that close collaboration and coordination between law enforcement authorities, financial institutions, civil society organizations, and the international regulatory community as a whole were necessary to dismantle the terrorists’ financial network.

“The need to undermine and destroy the financial network that supports terrorism is at the core of our attempt to combat it.
“Terrorist organizations depend on a consistent stream of funding to enlist, educate, and outfit their agents in order to spread their radical ideologies and carry out their horrific acts of violence.
“We can impair their ability to function by going after their financial lifelines. But stopping the funding of terrorism is a job that other government agencies can take on, he added.
