This was said by Shaibu, the state’s deputy governor, during a press conference on Saturday in Abuja.
Asue Ighodalo emerged victorious in the delegate election on Thursday, with 577 votes, according to the results declared by Dauda Lawal, the governor of Zamfara State and returning officer for the PDP governorship primary.
But in the concurrent primary held at the Deputy Governor’s home in Benin, Bartholomew Moses, the returning officer, announced Shaibu as the victor, claiming he did so “with over 300 votes.”

He declared, “The courts are there; they will interpret it if they will now trigger impeachment because of a constitutional right.”
