Family of kidnapped man recounts ordeal says “the government and the police abandoned us

The Enugu State Government and the Police were both accused by the family of a man whose body was abducted along with his relatives while being transported from Lagos to Nsukka of having abandoned them during their ordeal.

The relatives expressed their confusion regarding the behavior of the federal, state, and local governments as well as the security forces in Nigeria.

The three family members who had been held captive with the body were finally released, and this statement was made afterward.

Several members of the kidnappers’ family were also abducted during the hijacking.

Mr. Collins Ugwuanyi, the deceased’s older brother, has spoken out against what he claims is a lack of empathy on the part of the Nigerian police and the administration of Enugu State for the abducted victims in a statement obtained by furucinovel.
