Mr. Collins Ugwuanyi, the deceased’s older brother, has spoken out against what he claims is a lack of empathy on the part of the Nigerian police and the administration of Enugu State for the abducted victims in a statement obtained by furucinovel.
The federal, state, and local governments of Nigeria, as well as their security forces, police, army, forest guards, etc., continue to perplex us.
Despite the fact that safeguarding citizens’ lives and property should be their top priority, the government has completely disregarded us. Even between ourselves, we were nearly deserted. A merciful God, he prayed.

Ugwuanyi claimed that despite widespread media coverage of the abduction, neither Governor Peter Mbah nor the chairman of the Nsukka Local Government, Walter Ozioko, had made any attempt to contact the family about the matter.
The news was all over the place, so they can’t say they weren’t aware of what happened. They are citizens of their state; aren’t they human beings?
A local doctor is to be arrested by the police for cruelty to animals at his temple, but the same officer is unable to apprehend the crooks who are holding my people captive. According to him, we’re in deep peril.
Furthermore, Ugwuanyi expressed his astonishment at the lack of action taken by the police to secure the release of his abducted kin.
No one at the divisional police station could respond quickly enough to free my relatives from the kidnapper’s clutches after we reported the crime.
I reached out to him, and he explained that he and his crew were planning to go into the forest, but that the fuel costs were too high. Wonder what kind of muck we’re into.
God, by His miraculous intervention, brought returned the kidnapped people home safely, he added, thanking the Nigerians who had prayed for and supported his family.
