The Tinubu administration’s major jobs and economic growth measures have been laid forth by Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Doris Uzoka-Anite.
She stated that because of Nigeria’s potential for increased foreign direct investment, expanded market access, and diverse exports, the ministry actively participated in the negotiations for the country’s admission to the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

“A number of efforts aim to improve the situation for farmers and miners by implementing reforms in the commodities trading industry.
Among the initiatives in progress include establishing a National Job Center, strengthening outreach initiatives, and upgrading NCX operations.
She emphasized, “Notably, the Skill-UP Artisans program, SUPA, aims to empower 10 million artisans with industry-standard certifications and tech-enabled skills, addressing skills gaps and reducing reliance on labor imports.”

Chief Executive Officers of agencies under the two ministries, along with Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Information and Strategy, and Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, were present.
