Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, the first female commissioner of police in Kwara State, has started her duties.
Paul Odama, the departing Commissioner of Police, who was elevated to the position of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, handed over leadership of the command to her.

The command’s spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, made the revelation that CP Ebunoluwarotimi is from Sagamu, in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, in a statement made in Ilorin on Wednesday.
On March 3, 1990, she was chosen to join the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
According to the announcement, the new police commissioner is a no-nonsense law enforcement professional with experience working in numerous police commands and formations both inside and outside of the nation. She has held various leadership posts over the course of her career.
