Godwin Saviour and Ebube Duru have been given late call-ups by Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro for the team’s friendly match against Algeria.

Peseiro was compelled to extend invitations to Saviour and Duru after the trio of Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze, and Emmanuel Dennis sustained injuries.

Henry Onyekuru’s replacement, Dennis, was invited, however he will no longer be playing.

Saviour, a forward, competes for Casa Pia in the Portuguese SuperLiga.

The 26-year-old has competed at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels for Nigeria.

Duru, a player with Rivers United, the defending champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League, has received his first call-up to the Super Eagles.

The left-back was a member of the Rivers United team that fell to Watanga FC of Liberia 1-0 on Sunday in a CAF Champions League match.
