Abdulfatah Ahmed, the former governor of Kwara State, has responded to the invitation he received from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to him, the invitation was both standard and procedural.

The former governor was cited in a statement by his former chief press secretary, Wahab Oba, as saying he was in Ilorin to accept the invitation, as he usually did.
“I have consistently stated that I am available to address any inquiry or concern regarding my responsibility as the state’s governor.
“Therefore, I am ready and prepared to account for my stewardship, which is why I am visiting the agency’s office today per my invitation,” Ahmed stated.
