Residents of Ogun State are experiencing difficulty obtaining fuel at several filling stations located throughout the state.
Despite the fact that customers are willing to acquire the product at whatever price set by the merchants.

There are exceptionally long lines at the few filling stations where the product is offered in Abeokuta.
Motorists queue for hours for petrol, which costs more than N300 in most filling stations.
“Fuel is in short supply. I just purchased one litre for N350. It felt like a battle to gain the fuel. “I spent four hours getting four litres,” a commercial biker informed a DAILY POST correspondent while negotiating the cost of delivering him from FMC to Okemosan, Abeokuta.

Many filling stations in the state capital have been closed for weeks, according to reports.
Artists such as barbers, welders, printers, and others who rely on power for their everyday job are frustrated by their inability to purchase fuel.
Their predicament was exacerbated by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company’s inability to supply power for more than ten days.

While claiming that they have never relied on the power provider, the artists chastised the Federal Government for failing to find a solution to the continuing fuel shortage for several months.
“At the present, barbers and others have raised their prices, while drivers and okada riders charge double their typical transit ticket,” Adewale Semiu, an Isale Igbein local, stated.
Similarly, the bulk of private car owners have resorted to commercial modes of transportation due to a lack of fuel.
Many Ogun residents said the fuel crisis is affecting commercial activities in the State and having its toll on traders and buyers alike.
Coincidentally, the fuel crisis is hitting harder with the scarcity of the new naira notes, two situations the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu said were targeted at him to scuttle his chances.
