Shetty Maryam was removed from the list of ministers for a reason, according to Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
President Bola Tinubu didn’t know how Shetty’s name arrived on the list, according to Ganduje, who claimed that’s why she was dumped.

The Kano State needed to designate a minister with integrity and experience, according to the APC National Chairman.
Shetty was meant to be screened by the Senate on Friday, but Tinubu substituted Mariya Mahmoud Mairiga Bunkure for her just before the session began.
Tinubu wrote a letter to the Senate that was read by Godswill Akpabio and stated her removal and replacement with Bunkure.

However, according to Ganduje, who spoke on a Kano radio station, Shetty was fired as a result of criticisms that followed her appointment as a minister.
Maryam Shetty’s name rose to the top, but we were unfamiliar with her, said Ganduje. We were unable to evaluate her.
“However, Shetty was abruptly attacked on social media. Many people questioned her credentials to represent Kano at the national level and questioned her honesty and experience.

President Bola Tinubu was made aware of the barrage of complaints following Shetty’s selection. The president inquired as to my nomination of Maryam Shetty. I refused. Then, he enquired as to how her name ended up on the list. I confessed to him that I had no notion.
“I responded in the positive when he asked if she needed to be replaced, as the ministerial position required someone with integrity, competence, experience, and devotion to the party.
