Barnabas Gemade, the senator representing Benue North East, has disclosed that he is proceeding to the Supreme Court to challenge the case of the Appeal Court, Makurdi Division, which dismissed his suit challenging the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial primary election that produced Hyacinth Alia as its candidate.
Gemade made the announcement in a statement provided by his media aide, Solo Dzuah, following discussions with his legal staff about the necessity to pursue the case to its natural conclusion.

The primary problems mentioned in his action and subsequent requests, according to the former lawmaker, were not addressed at the appeal court.
He expressed faith in the court as an institution that, by rigorous adjudication and interpretation of the law, ensures justice and hope for the ordinary man.
He also repeated his legal proceedings as a party loyalist and fully recognized aspirant for the APC Benue State governorship primary who feels short-changed by the alleged manipulation of the nomination process.

Gemade concluded that his move was the only way to purify the voting system and reposition the state’s desire for internal democracy.
