Goretzka helps Man Utd as an Arsenal defender departs the team

According to The Sun UK, Manchester United’s pursuit of Leon Goretzka of Bayern Munich has apparently gained momentum.

Goretzka is reportedly a frontrunner to bolster Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s midfield during this summer’s transfer window in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

Although it has been said that Bayern Munich considers the Germany international to be “dispensable” in the upcoming weeks, the Red Devils have not yet made a bid for him.

In a related event, Arsenal revealed in a statement posted on its website that defender Anna Patten had permanently left the team.

Patten joined Aston Villa of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
