Gov. Buni to traditional and religious leaders: “Preach peaceful coexistence

Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State, has tasked traditional, religious, and opinion leaders with promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence among their followers.

Buni made the accusation on Wednesday in a Sallah message delivered through his Damaturu-based spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed.

“Let me appeal to our youth to observe the Sallah peacefully, particularly by strictly adhering to traffic laws.

Governor Buni gave the order, “The security agencies are to ensure adherence to law and order for a peaceful and successful Sallah celebration.”

The governor gave residents of the state assurance that his administration would focus on more human capital and infrastructural upgrades to improve people’s quality of life while congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir Sallah.

In the new era, he declared, “We will encourage self-reliance and job opportunities for economic growth of our people, especially the youth.”

In addition, he promised that everyone would be welcome to participate in and contribute to the state’s growth, regardless of sociocultural or political differences.

Buni also asked Allah (SWT) to accept the pious people’s prayers, offerings, and requests.
