Following the presentation of reports on the ongoing issue and the conclusion of the mediation session presided over by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, the Governor announced his decision.

According to furucinovel, Governor Adeleke ordered the Commissioner to intervene and settle disputes between warring factions last week in order to promote peace in the market, which is situated in the state’s Atakunmosa West local government area.

I am a man of peace, and I will make sure that there is appropriate protection for the people’s lives and possessions, not only in Kajola-Ijesha but also throughout the entirety of Osun State, the governor declared.

It’s past time you all put an end to your fighting and accept peace. Indiscipline will not be tolerated by us. Anyone found drumming up violence will be subjected to the full force of the law.

“The market is hereby promptly reopened on Saturday, August 12, 2023 to protect the livelihood of citizens who earn their living by operating their various businesses there,” the statement reads.
