In order to join Scottish team Rangers, Cyriel Dessers said he turned down offers from clubs in Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Dessers recently made a €4 million transfer from Serie B team Cremonese to the Gers.

The 28-year-old scored seven goals in 29 league games during his one season at Cremonese.
The Nigerian international came to Ibrox with a solid reputation after taking home the best scorer honor in the UEFA Europa Conference League two years prior.
The striker had a number of options available to him after electing to leave Cremonese after the club was relegated last season, but Rangers caught his attention.

“Of course, I had some possibilities for where to go from Italy, and there were still others in Belgium and the Netherlands. I don’t believe that naming the teams here is a good idea, Dessers said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The group, players who are already here, and the manager, who has a really clear sense of what he wants on and off the field, are all important to me. Rangers is a huge club, and I appreciate what is happening here.
