Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has discussed how she was passed up for significant roles when she was a fledgling actor because she was labeled as “not fine.”
Akindele claimed she was denied prominent roles even in Yoruba indigenous films due to her physical appearance in the most recent episode of the TokeMoments podcast, presented by Toke Makinwa.

She described how Iyabo Ojo, an actress, frequently stepped in to support her during her arguments with producers who had rejected her due to her appearance.
The actor of “Jenifa Diary” claimed that producers were only giving her little roles, which caused her to cry.
“I can still hear people saying, ‘You’re not fine. You lack an ass. You are devoid of boobs. You won’t appear in this movie, she recalled.
