In contrast to rumors spreading on social media, Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has indicated that he is still recovering in Germany and has not yet traveled back to Nigeria.
However, Akeredolu reassured that he will soon return to the nation to carry out his duty of directing the state’s affairs.

The governor stressed that his main goal is to ensure a full recovery before returning to the country, according to a statement issued on Sunday by his chief press secretary, Richard Olatunde.
Over the weekend, there was speculation that the governor had returned from his medical vacation after a video clip showing him getting out of a helicopter surfaced.
Olatunde said that Akeredolu intended to return to the state soon while praising the enthusiasm of locals as well as the governor’s supporters and well-wishers.
