Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder for Manchester United, has explained why he struggled for the team last year.
Fernandes claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s entrance last summer had nothing to do with his subpar performance for Manchester United the previous season.

The 28-year-old, whose impact in front of goal has significantly decreased, claimed he could not place the blame on his Portugal teammate and added that it was because he didn’t always give his all to score goals or provide assists.
According to Fernandes, “most of my assists last season were for him, therefore I don’t think (that is fair).”
“I simply had a bad season in terms of my own statistics. It’s not about Cristiano or me, in my opinion.

“Before he arrived, I was also taking the penalties, but last season, I missed both of my opportunities to do so. Cristiano taking penalties is therefore not my fault, especially when he scores them.
“He gave me the ball and told me to go alone and score when I missed against Arsenal in April. He seemed to have faith in me to step up and score in the crucial situation even though I missed.
“So I don’t think it’s because of Cristiano, I think it’s because there were times when I didn’t give everything I had to get goals or assists,” said the player.
