In a fiercely contested friendly on Saturday morning at the FIFA Gold Project Practice Pitch in Abuja, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated EFCC Football Club 2-1.
Despite having several solid chances to score, neither team managed to score in the first half.

In the 72nd minute, the outstanding Moshood Danjuma gave EFCC a well-deserved lead.
A minute later, Ibrahim Yahaya, a fiery forward for the Flying Eagles, equalized the score.
In the 82nd minute, Flying Eagles forward Haliru Sarki scored the game-winning goal.

Since returning to camp in Abuja in preparation for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations last week, Ladan Bosso’s team has scored 18 goals and given up only twice in four friendlies.
Now they will concentrate on their upcoming two friendly versus Zambia.
The first friendly is scheduled for January 27 on Friday, and the second is scheduled for January 30 on Monday.
