Adam Imam has been chosen as the new commandant of the Akwa Ibom State Command by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
According to a statement made available to journalists in Uyo on Tuesday by NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Friday Ekerete, Imam, the 14th commandant in the state, took over from Suleiman Mafara, who has been redeployed to National Headquarters in Abuja.

“Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has acquired a new state commandant,” according to the announcement. Commandant Adam Yusuf Imam PhD is his name.
“He succeeds Commandant Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara, who has been reassigned to the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.”
