American country music legend Kris Kristofferson has passed away.

Kris Kristofferson, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died away peacefully on Saturday at home. His passing was announced in a statement released on Sunday by his family, who expressed their deep sadness at the news.

Spending time with him has been a blessing for all of us. For loving him through the years, I am eternally grateful. And remember, every time you see a rainbow, it’s a sign that he’s smiling down on us.

Hits like “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” “For the Good Times,” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night” established Kristofferson as a household name in country music.
