You may recall that the Gunners defeated Man City 1-0 thanks to a goal scored in stoppage time by Gabriel Martinelli.
Saliba and Magalhaes started at the heart of Arsenal’s defense as expected, which held Haaland and his teammates at bay. Goalkeeper David Raya didn’t have to make any saves, and as a result, Mikel Arteta’s side kept their sixth clean sheet of the season across all competitions.
During an interview with TalkSPORT, Keown remarked (via TheBootRoom) that he believed the Arsenal defense to be outstanding. At the close of the previous season, Saliba demonstrated just why he was sorely missed.

“Gabriel in addition to that. Let’s not overlook him, will we? I had the impression that they consumed Haaland the day before. To tell you the truth, from a physical standpoint, they were ready for that battle.
