According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, often known as NDLEA, the agency has increased the number of programs designed to raise awareness in parking garages and has improved its partnership with NURTW, particularly with regard to the exchange of information.
This information was shared with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja by Kabir Tsakuwa, who serves as the Commander of Narcotics for the NDLEA’s FCT Command.

According to Tsakuwa, the recent seizure of a huge consignment of tramadol and other drugs was made possible by the assistance of members of the transport union who were present at one of the parking lots.
He did, however, report that individuals in connection with the drugs that were recovered were detained, and he added that those people had already been charged in court.
According to him, the NDLEA continues to maintain sustainable raid operations not only at motor parks and roadsides, but also at all of the recognized black spots within the FCT and surrounding surrounds where drug activities are seen.

“The Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and suburbs in particular are also subjected to raids at all hours of the day and night in an effort to flush out any criminals who might be interested in taking advantage of the areas.

According to him, the locations in question were some of the regions within the FCT that had a relatively high level of drug-related activity.
According to what he claimed, “efforts are currently being made to create more outposts as directed by the NDLEA Chairman, retired Brigadier-General Buba Marwa.”
According to the head of the NDLEA, the command has established special teams that operate nonstop in order to deal with actionable intelligence as it becomes available in real time.
According to what he claimed, this would be done with the intention of putting an end to illegal drug activity by removing notorious drug dealers and drug dens.
According to him, the NDLEA uses the existing relationships it has with the communities in order to assist with providing reasonable information within their region and locality. This is done in its capacity as a command.
“In addition, the command works together with all of the security agencies in the FCT to share information and discuss any issues regarding safety among the leaders of the agencies.
“We conduct joint operations with members drawn from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigerian Navy, the DSS, the Nigerian Intelligence Service, and the Nigerian State Child Development Corps.”
“The team is formed at the instance of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), where criminal hideouts are continuously dislodged,” he added. “The FCTA is continuously dislodging criminal hideouts.”
