The most recent official release of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list has been dissociated from by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC).
The NWC’s decision was based on a variety of factors, including the fact that it did not officially approve the list and that negotiations between the presidential campaign council’s brightest minds and the three-person committee it established to synchronize the list broke down.

A member of the NWC told our Abuja-based correspondent that the list’s fundamental flaws are confirmed by the fact that the PCC issued it rather than the party’s national leadership.
In the meantime, the PCC justified Yemi Osinbajo’s omission from the list, asserting that it was not a sign that something was wrong inside the APC family.
“Nothing is more false than the facts. President Muhammadu Buhari is the Campaign Council’s chairman, just to be clear. In order to focus on national governance and government administration, the Vice President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, have been specifically ordered to be excluded from the Campaign Council.

“All the major government officials cannot leave their jobs for electioneering campaigns as a responsible party and government. The APC has the mandate of the Nigerian people to govern the nation on their behalf for at least another two years, until May 29, 2023, and we plan to carry out this mandate with the utmost sense of responsibility.
Festus Keyamo, the PCC spokesperson, signed a statement that said, “We will not follow in the footsteps of those who ran the nation irresponsibly before us, and our Party is not in complete disarray like others who wish to “save” the nation but cannot simply handle their own internal affairs.”
