Former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka has stated that Nigeria does not require a good man as President.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) veteran made the comment on Thursday during a virtual national dialogue that furucinovel was watching.

Chidoka’s “good man” remark was in response to prior remarks by LP chieftain Valentine Ozigbo.
Obi’s Special Adviser on Technology and Strategic Alliances, Ozigbo, hailed the LP presidential contender as humble.
“When it comes to the applicants’ personalities, we don’t place a premium on it. You need someone who is humble and easy to engage.

“You need someone who is sensitive, who cares about his country and fellow humans; someone who fears God and has a conscience.
“There are those people who desire to build their own empire. Even as they are now, you cannot imagine how much more they will be when they become President,” the Anambra governorship candidate for 2021 stated.
Chidoka emphasized the PDP’s accomplishments while in charge of the federal government from 1999 to 2007.

“The trouble is that when you build institutions around an individual, you’re sure to have problems.
“The lesson of our past history was that Obasanjo was a strong active leader, and then we had Yar’Adua.
“Yar’Adua was an honest and calm man, but under whom not much moved because every step was susceptible to conversation and extended argument.
“He was a good man, the first to declare his assets publicly and to force his vice to do the same.
“He was the first to alter the electoral system, admitting that the election that brought him to power was flawed.”
Chidoka, on the other hand, believes that creating institutions that would put an end to the “business as usual syndrome” is “much more vital than a decent individual.”
Former Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Corps Marshal Adolf Hitler was highlighted as an example by the former Corps Marshal.
“Adolf Hitler was one of the honorable individuals who dominated the globe,” the politician claimed.
“When he was elected, the whole Germany thought this is the man that we need to restore the German pride.
“We all know how it ended because, for the first time, the German people trusted an individual rather than their institutions.”
Chidoka, a former Anambra governorship candidate, also referenced Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“Despite the difficulties of being prosecuted in court for corruption, the Brazilian people re-elected him because he gets things done.”
“Getting things done is not like Umaru Yar’Adua, who was a fine man, a very decent man, but he couldn’t get things done,” he continued.
