According to the press release, at the Command’s headquarters in Umuahia, a productive discussion took place between the CP, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, and a delegation of the NLC, headed by the state’s Abia NLC Chairman, Okoro Ogbonnaya.

The NLC delegation promised the Command that the protests would be nonviolent and that they would cooperate with law enforcement to make sure the demonstrations go off without a hitch in the State, according to the release.
